My career in mental health started in residential mental health and intellectual disability services, where I worked while completing my nursing degree. Those experiences gave me a strong foundation in supporting people with a wide range of needs.
Since qualifying as a Registered Mental Health Nurse, I have been working in an inpatient Child and Adolescent Mental Health Service (CAMHS), where I am also involved in clinical governance through the nursing metrics team.
Caoimhe and I trained together as mental health nurses and continue to work alongside each other today. Through our clinical experience, we have seen the positive impact the Decider Skills can have across a range of settings. That shared experience inspired us to help grow and deliver the Decider programme throughout Ireland.
When I’m not working, you’ll usually find me travelling and spending time with family and friends
